"Avatar 2: The Way of Water" will be released in North America on December 16, 2022. Recently, director James Cameron was interviewed by Empire magazine, in which he revealed that "Avatar 2" will be about 3 hours long (the film is still in post-production and the length has not yet been officially determined). Cameron said that many people are willing to spend several hours watching a TV series, but complain that a movie is too long, which is unfair.

Cameron said: "I don't want to hear anyone criticize the length of a movie, after all, they can sit down and watch a TV series for eight hours... I can guess what the review will say: 'This movie is so painful at three hours...' Damn it, spare me. I have personally seen my children watch five episodes of TV series in a row, each episode is an hour. Don't you get up and go to the bathroom to pee when watching a movie?"

Cameron added: "Some of the trolls will just say 'No one cares about this movie, I can't remember any of the character names or what it's about', and then they watch it again and say 'Oh ok, sorry, I'll shut up now'. So I don't worry about the negative reviews at all."
