According to foreign media Anitrendz today (June 17), the animation of "Astro Boy" was announced to be restarted, jointly produced by Tezuka Productions, Shibuya Productions, and Method Animation. The restarted animation adopts CGI 3D style and will have 52 episodes, each 26 minutes long. The restarted animation will explore today's hot issues, including the impact of the Internet, social media, and the damage caused by humans to the environment.

The reboot of Astro Boy is directed by French director Thomas Astruc, who said excitedly: "I can't describe in words how much influence Osamu Tezuka has had on my life and work. I think Astro Boy is a classic series, and today's society needs Astro Boy to return. Its influence is huge!"
