Nominations for the 46th Kodansha Manga Award announced, grand prize winner to be announced on May 11

Kodansha, one of the giants in Japan's manga publishing industry, announced today on April 7 the 14 nominated works for its 46th "Kodansha Manga Award". Among them are the most popular manga recently. They are divided into three categories: "Boys' Department", "Girls' Department" and "General Department". The grand prize will be announced on May 11, so stay tuned.

•Kodansha was formerly known as Dai Nippon Yōbōkai Kodansha. It was founded in 1909 by Seiji Noma in Tokyo, Japan, and is a member of the Otowa Group. It is now Japan's largest comprehensive publishing house and copyright holder. It is one of the major manga publishers in Japan, and is known as the three major manga publishers in the Japanese publishing industry along with Shueisha and Shogakukan.
