According to foreign media reports, Spielberg's blockbuster "West Side Story" has received multiple Oscar nominations, but to the surprise of the industry, the leading actress Rachel Ziegler was not on the list of those invited to attend the awards ceremony.

• "West Side Story" is a musical romance film produced by 20th Century Fox, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Ansel Elgort, Rachel Ziegler, Rita Moreno and David Alvarez.

The film is adapted from the 1957 Broadway musical and was released in the United States on December 10, 2021. It tells the story of the fight between the "Jet Gang" and the "Shark Gang" on the streets of New York in the 1950s, and the love story of Tony and Maria, the "star-crossed couple" who belong to different gangs.
