Famous actor Tu Men passed away at the age of 61: He once starred in "Swordsman"

According to @新浪电影, "Old Beast" director Zhou Ziyang confirmed that the famous actor/director Tu Men died of illness at 3:50 am on December 12, 2021 at the age of 61.

Tumen was diagnosed with advanced esophageal cancer last month. After unsuccessful treatment, he returned to Hulunbuir at the end of last month.

According to reports, in 1985, Tumen entered the entertainment industry by starring in his first film "Genghis Khan". His representative works also include the films "Sad Brook", "Farewell" and "Old Beast". He also starred in the TV series "Crossing Guandong", "The Long Song of Zhenguan", "Swordsman" and "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber". In 2017, he won the Golden Horse Award for Best Actor for "Old Beast".

According to domestic media reports, Tu Men never brings a script, including when filming "Old Beast".

In 2001, Tu Men co-starred with Li Yapeng and Xu Qing in the costume martial arts TV series "Swordsman". The character he played, Zuo Lengchan, the leader of the Songshan School, was ambitious, insidious and cunning, which left a deep impression on many viewers.

It is reported that Tu Men also appeared in the recently released film "Wu Hai", playing the father of the heroine. He currently has three films to be released, namely "Going Up the Mountain", "Xiao Yao You" and "The Last Truth".
