ABJ (Authorized Books of Japan), an anti-piracy association jointly established by the Japan Electronic Book Association and the Digital Comics Association, announced today on November 29th a survey on current pirated comics websites in Japan, showing that the total monthly visits to the top 10 pirated websites are approaching 400 million, and will call on the Japanese government to take severe measures. •ABJ (Authorized Books of Japan) is an anti-piracy association jointly created by the Japan Electronic Book Association and the Digital Comics Association. According to the latest statistics released today on the 29th, the monthly visits to the top 10 pirated sites investigated by ABJ have shown a steady upward trend recently. By October, the total monthly visits were close to 400 million, nearly 4 times the highest number of visits to "Manga Village", the largest pirated site that was destroyed in 2018. •According to ABJ’s investigation, about 400 pirated comics sites have been tracked down and will be submitted to the fifth “Review Meeting on Measures to Suppress Access to Online Pirate Websites” held by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan today. |
