The comedy comic "Me and the Robot" theatrical version is officially in production and will be released on April 18, 2025

The comic work "Me and the Robot" created by Shuhei Miyazaki was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump 2020 No. 31 on July 6, 2020. So far, 16 volumes of single books have been released, with a cumulative circulation of more than 1.5 million copies. Its animated adaptation of the same name will also be officially launched in December 2022 (until June 2026) in the form of a short episode of no more than 5 minutes.

Recently, the official announced that the theatrical version of "Me and the Robot" is in production. The original author Shuhei Miyazaki also drew a special poster for promotion and revealed that the theatrical version will be released on April 18, 2025.

The original story of "Me and the Robot" tells that in the distant future, every household has a maid robot. The protagonist, a fifth-grade male, dreams of having his own maid robot, so he asks his mother to buy one. But what she gets is an unexpected and out-of-the-box custom-made maid robot. So the funny interaction between the weird maid robot and the elementary school student begins.
