Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Commemoration All Kamen Rider Grand Voting Event Opens

NHK recently announced that as one of the regular hit programs at the end of each year, the event for the general election of classic popular IPs has selected "Kamen Rider" this year. It is also one of the 50th anniversary commemorative plans of "Kamen Rider". The voting event for all Kamen Riders has begun and the results will be announced 6 days later on October 30th.

•The "Kamen Rider series" is a special effects TV series produced by Toei and written by Shotaro Ishimori starting in 1971. After the first film in the series, "Kamen Rider", was broadcast in 1971, it was loved by audiences of all ages and led to more subsequent works of Kamen Rider.

The main character "Kamen Rider" was originally designed by cartoonist Shotaro Ishimori, and planned and named by Toei's Hirayama Toru and Abe Seiji. Therefore, the original author "Shotaro Ishimori" is noted in the Showa Kamen Rider series to commemorate him.

Kamen Rider is now divided into three categories: Showa Rider, Heisei Rider, and Reiwa Rider. From the first work "Kamen Rider" to "Kamen Rider J", they are all stories about the transformation of the cyborgs who fight against the evil organization. They are classified as Showa Rider. The Kamen Riders who appeared from "Kamen Rider Kuuga" to "Kamen Rider Zi-O" are classified as Heisei Rider. The Kamen Riders who appeared from "Kamen Rider Zero-One" are classified as Reiwa Rider.
