Professor of Communication University of China commented on Captain America 4: It is so tacky that it wastes the audience's IQ

Recently, Marvel's new film "Captain America 4" was released in mainland China, but its reputation and box office performance were not satisfactory.

According to Mtalk, Associate Professor Jin Yuxuan of Communication University of China was a guest on CCTV-6 Film Channel's "Today's Film Review" program and gave a sharp review of "Captain America 4".

Jin Yuxuan said that his first impression after watching the movie was that it was very tacky. Although the film had a complete story, the plot seemed too familiar and lacked novelty. From 2008 to now, Marvel seems to have been telling stories in the same format, and this lack of innovation makes the entire film seem old-fashioned.

Jin Yuxuan also criticized the movie poster, saying that its design did not match the content of the film and appeared "unworthy of the position". He pointed out that the core image of the poster is Red Hulk, and Falcon (Sam Wilson), as the new Captain America, seems unable to take on this important task in terms of both ability and temperament.

Jin Yuxuan further emphasized that if this old-fashioned narrative method continues to be used, relying only on routines and easter eggs to attract the audience, and forcibly arranging unsuitable characters to assume important responsibilities, it will not only hurt the audience's emotions, but will also be regarded as a disregard for the audience's IQ.
