The new James Bond film has a new lead, with producers of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts joining

After Amazon took over the creative control of the well-known film IP "007" series, MGM Studios under Amazon announced the new producers of the "007" film: Amy Pascal and David Heyman. Last month, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who had long been at the helm of the "007" series of films, bid farewell to the series in a historic way.

Amy Pascal is the producer of Marvel's Spider-Man films and was the former co-chairman of Sony Pictures, while David Heyman has produced the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.

Amazon MGM Studios broke the news to 007.com. Courtenay Valenti, head of Amazon MGM Studios’ film division, said in a statement:

“We approach every creative decision for James Bond with a great sense of responsibility, a franchise that has been so brilliantly helmed by Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.

“Amy Pascal and David Heyman are among the most accomplished, experienced and respected filmmakers in the industry, having developed and managed numerous film franchises to box office success and critical acclaim. We are honored to be working with them on the next chapter of James Bond and are excited to tell this story to audiences around the world, continuing the legacy of this beloved character.”
