Nolan officially cooperates with Universal Pictures to shoot Oppenheimer biopic next year

Previously, we reported the news that director Christopher Nolan was planning to shoot a biopic about Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb. Today (September 15), according to the film and television media Deadline, director Christopher Nolan will cooperate with Universal Pictures to shoot the film.

It is reported that the film will officially start shooting in the first quarter of next year and actor Cillian Murphy will star in the film, but so far important information such as the release time and actor allocation has not been announced.

This film, which has not yet been released, is director Christopher Nolan's first non-Warner Bros. film in more than 20 years. Apparently, Warner Bros.' previous decision to release the film simultaneously in theaters and streaming media caused its relationship with Nolan to take a sharp turn for the worse. Nolan had previously severely criticized Warner's decision in the media and said he no longer planned to cooperate with it in the future.
