New set photos of the prequel series "House of the Dragon" will be broadcast in 2022

The prequel to Game of Thrones, "House of the Dragon," has revealed new set photos! The show tells the story of the "House of the Dragon" Targaryen family and the Dragon family of the "Dance with the Dragons" civil war, and has been directly booked for a full season, produced by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal.

"House of the Dragon" is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and is based on Martin's Targaryen history book "Fire and Blood". The cast includes:

Matt Smith plays Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D'Arcy plays Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke plays Alicent Hightower, Rhys Ifans plays Otto Hightower, and Steve Toussaint plays the Sea Serpent. It is scheduled to premiere next year.
