Fujio (December 1, 1933 - September 23, 1996) is a Japanese male cartoonist and one of the representative cartoonists of Shogakukan. His representative works include "Q-Taro", "Doraemon", "Little Superman Parmon" and "Super Power Mami". His real name is Fujimoto Hiroshi. He was born in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, and graduated from the Electrical Department of Toyama Prefectural Takaoka Technical High School. He shot to fame with "Q-taro" in 1964, and since then he has established his important position in the Japanese comics industry. His masterpiece "Doraemon" has created an irresistible whirlwind and has become an eternal classic in the hearts of thousands of children. "Doraemon" is a solo work of Hiroshi Fujimoto. In 1993, in order to commemorate Fujimoto's achievements, the "Doraemon Promenade" was built in Takaoka City, Japan. At 2:10 am on September 23, 1996, Fujimoto died of liver failure at the age of 63. This project is specially implemented by the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum in Kawasaki City, Japan to commemorate its 10th anniversary.
