Today (August 12), the new version of the TV series "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" jointly produced by China Central Television and Shanghai Penguin Pictures released a release date trailer. It will be broadcast on CCTV-8 on August 14 and exclusively broadcast on the online platform Tencent Video. Directed by Yu Rongguang (as Yelu Hongji), Tony Yang (as Qiao Feng), Janice Man (as Wang Yuyan), Bai Shu (as Duan Yu), and Zhang Tianyang (as Xu Zhu) are the leading actors.

The new TV series "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" is adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Jin Yong. It is set in the era of Emperor Zhezong of the Northern Song Dynasty. It tells the story of three chivalrous men, "Leader of the Beggars' Sect" Qiao Feng, "Prince of Dali" Duan Yu, and "Shaolin Monk" Xu Zhu, who are involved in the complexity of the martial arts world, experience the bitter fate of "asking for something but not getting it" amid the swordplay, and shoulder the responsibility and mission of "family, country and the world" amid the fluttering flags. The whole series has 56 episodes, each episode is about 45 minutes long.
