Uncle Phoenix's version of "Joker 2" is really in production

According to foreign media Comicbook, it seems that Warner is still interested in a sequel to the "Joker" movie directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix. The Phoenix version of the "Joker" movie was released in 2019. It did not consume a huge budget like most comic book companies, but it was a huge box office success.

Now, a new report reveals that the sequel is still in development and is being produced along with many other projects of the DC studio.

Previously, "Joker" directed by Todd Phillips received rave reviews and won 11 Oscar nominations that year. Joaquin Phoenix even won the Oscar for Best Actor for the film. The film cost only 55 million US dollars to produce and grossed 1.074 billion US dollars worldwide, setting the highest box office record in the history of R-rated films in the world.
