According to foreign media reports, Sony Pictures has postponed the release of Spider-Man 4 by one week, moving it from July 24, 2026 to July 31, 2026. This means that Marvel's new film will be released two weeks later than Christopher Nolan's Odyssey. After the cross-universe movie Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in 2021, Sony finally added the next Spider-Man movie played by Tom Holland to the theaters four months ago. Directed by Destin Cretton, the film is expected to start shooting this summer. However, there are no other casting details except for Holland. Earlier, there were reports that Zendaya's role in Spider-Man 4 would be reduced due to scheduling conflicts, almost to a cameo, and therefore the film needed a new female lead. In the latest report, the new female lead seems to be Anya Taylor-Joy. It is reported that she is in talks to join the sequel as "Black Cat" or in another capacity. |
