The recent popularity has led to a risky Japanese salaryman being arrested for reselling pirated "Demon Slayer" DVDs

The world has witnessed that Japan has extremely strict crackdowns on pirated products. Perhaps because "Demon Slayer" has been so popular recently, some people are willing to take risks. According to Japanese media reports today, on October 27, the Chikusei Prefectural Police arrested a 40-year-old salaryman on suspicion of reselling pirated "Demon Slayer" DVDs.

According to the police, the suspect was arrested for allegedly selling a set of three DVDs of the TV animation "Demon Slayer" to two women living in Ibaraki Prefecture in March this year without the original author's authorization, infringing the original author's intellectual property rights.
