The suspense film "The Accidental Murder" produced by Chen Sicheng will be re-screened in theaters on July 20

The drama suspense film "The Accidental Murderer", produced by Chen Sicheng, directed by Ke Wenli, and starring Xiao Yang, Tan Zhuo, Chen Chong, Jiang Haowen and others, released an announcement today (July 17), confirming that the film will be re-screened in theaters on July 20.

"The Accidental Murderer" was released in theaters on December 13, 2019, and its final box office reached 1.1 billion. It also won the Audience Choice Award at the 24th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea.

Plot introduction: Li Weijie (Xiao Yang) and his wife Ayu (Tan Zhuo) have been working in Thailand for 17 years and have two daughters. At the age of 40, he makes a living by opening an Internet company and is well-liked by the residents of the town. However, all this beauty is broken by the sudden uninvited guest. In this border town full of smuggling and drug trafficking, various powers are intertwined and crush fairness and justice.

Li Weijie's eldest daughter Pingping (played by Xu Wenshan) was raped by Sucha (played by Bian Tianyang), the son of Inspector General La Yun (played by Chen Chong), and she accidentally killed him because of resistance. Li Weijie had witnessed the Inspector General's abuse of lynching and knew that the law was useless. In order to protect his daughter and defend his family, Li Weijie buried the body to cover up all evidence. In the interlaced gaps of time and space, he and the police had a desperate battle on the physical and mental levels.
