Gerard Butler will work with Angel Has Fallen director Rick Roman Waugh again in the latter's new film Kandahar. The film Greenland, which they collaborated on, will be released in North America on August 14. "Kandahar" was written by former U.S. military intelligence officer Mitchell LaFortune and is based on real experiences. It focuses on LaFortune's experience in the Defense Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan during Snowden's leaks. Butler plays Tom Harris, a covert CIA agent working in the Middle East. A leak of intelligence puts his covert mission and identity at risk. Trapped in the heart of the enemy, Harris and his translator must flee the desert to an evacuation point in Kandahar while evading the elite special forces. Gerard Butler has been starring in numerous action thrillers over the years. Wherever there is a trap or danger, Butler is there. |
