"Deadpool and Wolverine" Friends Day New Trailer Preview Female Deadpool May Debut

"Deadpool vs. Wolverine" released a new trailer to pay tribute to "Friends Day", which also prepared some Easter eggs for loyal fans of the MCU.

The one-minute trailer is mostly about bringing the two leads closer together, and most of the footage is stuff we've already seen. However, there are a few easy-to-miss moments that hint at the many cameos that could appear in Deadpool vs. Wolverine. Specifically, we get to see a possible "female Deadpool" and... is that really Vinnie Jones' Juggernaut?

The female Deadpool is the easiest to spot, with a brief shot in the video showing a mysterious figure walking out of what appears to be a portal. Wanda Wilson, the female version of Deadpool, has long been rumored to be a possible character. Some fans even think they know who will play the role, with many speculating that Ryan Reynolds' real-life wife Blake Lively will wear the mask.

Vinnie Jones' Juggernaut made an appearance in X-Men: The Last War and has long been rumored to appear in Deadpool vs. Wolverine. However, in March, the actor said he chose not to join the upcoming MCU film because the original Juggernaut suit put a lot of mental strain on him.

"Interestingly, I was just asked about being in the new Deadpool movie, and I spoke to the director, and I just said that putting on that suit is mentally and physically a torture," Jones said at the time. "I mean, it was mentally a torture for me too, because you're wearing it all day and you can't do anything but drink through a straw. So we were not able to do a deal for Deadpool vs. Wolverine."

Jones' comments are interesting because eagle-eyed fans were able to spot a character who looked like the character he played in X-Men in 2006. The character's appearance in the trailer was easy to miss, and if it wasn't Vinnie Jones, then at least looked a lot like him.

Deadpool vs. Wolverine is set to hit theaters on July 26.
