Jackie Chan's "Vanguard" imitates "Lost in Russia" and is broadcast for free? Director: Not suitable

Due to the epidemic, all seven blockbusters in the 2020 Spring Festival were withdrawn, including Jackie Chan's "Vanguard". Judging from the current situation, the resumption of theaters is still a long way off.

Movies such as Lost in Russia, Fat Dragon Way of the River, and The Big Winner have chosen to be broadcast online. According to domestic media reports, director Stanley Tong said in an interview that The Vanguard would not be considered for online release.

Tong Jili said: "When we were shooting, we had the format of a big movie. We have IMAX, China Giant Screen, 3D, and 4D versions. It is an action movie that looks great on the big screen. Some movies may not be much different when watched in theaters and online, but a big-scale, big-budget movie like Vanguard is not suitable."

As for when "Vanguard" will be able to meet the audience in the future, Tang Jili said: "It is difficult to judge at present, because although the domestic epidemic is well controlled, the overseas situation is not optimistic. "Vanguard" will be released simultaneously around the world. If they are not well yet, we can't go on the screen."

It is understood that "Vanguard" is an action film directed by Stanley Tong and starring Jackie Chan, Yang Yang, Allen, Xu Ruohan and Mu Qi Miya.
