Perfect harmony! Japanese craftsmen use traditional pottery Shigaraki to create the cute Star Wars BB-8 robot

I believe that many fans and netizens are impressed by the cute BB-8 robot in the famous science fiction movie series "Star Wars". Today, on December 5, a lifelike BB-8 robot made its debut. However, this is not an industrially mass-produced plastic model, but pottery carefully fired by Japanese ceramic craftsmen.

·Japanese traditional ceramic artist Nobuhide Hamanaka personally created this Shigaraki BB-8 robot. Of course, it is not easy to restore the BB-8 closest to the original. According to the production drawings posted by Mr. Hamanaka, it took the author a lot of effort. Moreover, as far as Shigaraki ware is concerned, there are very few examples of spherical pottery production. Mr. Hamanaka Nobuhide also said that it is extremely difficult to fire a pure sphere. This work took more than a month to complete.
