Christian Bale talks about why there is no fourth installment of the new Batman: Because Nolan doesn't want

At the end of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Bruce Wayne retired and a young Robin was ready to take over his mantle.

According to foreign media reports, Warner Bros. was thinking more than that and once asked Christian Bale, "Do you want to make a fourth film?" Bale said, "No, we have to follow Nolan's dream. We have always wanted to make a trilogy. Don't go too far and make four films."

During the promotion of "Ford v Ferrari", Bale talked to the media again about Batman. He talked in detail about the reason for refusing to shoot the fourth film, "Chris (Nolan) always told me that if we are lucky enough to shoot a trilogy, we will stop. I told them that we have to follow Nolan's dream. Since Nolan doesn't want to shoot it, I will stop playing Batman here."

Bale said that when they were filming the first episode, they never thought about completing the trilogy. Nolan always focused on making a good movie first, and only thought about whether to make another one after it was successful.

After Bale, Ben Affleck played Batman in two films, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League", and Robert Pattinson will play Batman on the big screen in 2021.
