The Chinese trailer of "Doctor Dolittle" reveals the fairy-level cast going to the secret place

Universal Pictures' official Weibo account officially released the first trailer of "Doctor Dolittle" early this morning, with Chinese subtitles. The official translation of the film is "Dolittle's Fantastic Adventures", and Robert Downey Jr. plays Doctor Dolittle, who can communicate with animals. He will embark on an adventure full of unknowns with the animals.

Robert Downey Jr. is set to take on one of the most memorable characters in literature in an imaginative retelling of the classic tale of a man who could talk to animals: Doctor Dolittle.

John Dolittle, a famous doctor and veterinarian with an eccentric temperament and a unique personality, lives in Victorian England. After losing his beloved wife seven years ago, he lives alone in the high walls of Dolittle Manor, living a secluded life with only a group of exotic animals to keep him company. But when the young Queen Victoria falls seriously ill, the reluctant Dr. Dolittle is forced to board a ship and embark on an epic adventure to a mysterious island in search of a cure. When he encounters a terrifying enemy and discovers amazing magical creatures, he regains his former wit and courage.

Dolittle's companion is a young man who claims to be his intern, and a group of noisy animal friends, including an anxious gorilla (voiced by Oscar winner Rami Malek), an impulsive and brainless duck (voiced by Oscar winner Octavia Spencer), a pair of bickering rivals: a sarcastic ostrich and a positive and optimistic polar bear, and a willful and stubborn parrot, who is also Dr. Dolittle's most trusted advisor and confidant.

"Dolittle" is created by the original production team of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Maleficent", and is written and directed by Stephen Gaghan ("Syriana", "Hansel and Gretel", "The Goldmine"), who won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for "Traffic". How the film will break through the imagination of fantasy adventure movies with its unique style and superb special effects is full of expectations.

"Dumbo" is scheduled to be released in North America on January 17, 2020, and is expected to be introduced in China.
