Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel reconcile and will return to the original Fast & Furious movie

Dwayne Johnson, who plays Officer Hobbs in the "Fast & Furious" film series, recently released an Instagram video in which he thanked the audience for helping "Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw" to gross over $750 million worldwide, and made special mention of Vin Diesel at the end.

Johnson thanked Vin Diesel for his support for "Hobbs & Shaw" and for inviting him to join the "Fast & Furious" family. He also expressed his desire to work with Dom, played by Vin Diesel, again, "All different paths lead to the same destination, and I'll see you soon," hinting that he might appear in the main "Fast & Furious" series again.

He said: "I want to thank my buddy Vin Diesel for his support of this film. My goal over the years has always been to be able to enter the world of "Fast and Furious" and do my best to help improve this series. Of course, everything points to one thing, I will see you again soon, Dom."

The feud between Johnson and Vin Diesel was once a hot topic. In 2016, Johnson criticized Diesel on Facebook without naming him, saying that some male actors in the crew were unprofessional, which made him very angry and called him a "coward". Media rumors said that Vin Diesel had a discussion with Johnson after the post, and Universal executives also intervened. Many actors in the crew also expressed their views on this, such as Tyrese Gibson, who said that if Johnson played in "Fast and Furious 9", he would quit.

Johnson later confirmed in an interview with Rolling Stone that he and Diesel did not actually film any scenes together when filming Fast & Furious 8. He said that there was no ill will between the two of them in private (he laughed and asked the reporter to take it back), and that the two had fundamental differences in the philosophy of filmmaking and cooperation.

Fast & Furious 9 has been in production for 14 weeks and is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2020.
