Today (August 2), the official Twitter account of the "Gintama" animation officially announced that it will produce a new theatrical version, and detailed information about the theatrical version may be announced at any time.

Gintama is a popular manga created by Japanese manga artist Sorachi Hideaki. It is full of humor and has attracted countless fans. It was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2004, and now it has been 15 years. On April 4, 2006, the TV animation of the same name adapted by Sunrise Animation began to be broadcast on Tokyo TV. As of August 2018, the cumulative circulation of Gintama's single volumes in Japan has exceeded 55 million copies.
