The monster let my grandpa go! The live-action movie of "Calabash Brothers 2" is approved

Recently, the National Film Administration announced the "Notice on the Filing and Project Approval of National Film Scripts (Synopses) in June 2019 (Early)", and it shows in the "Co-production" column that the live-action version of "Calabash Brothers 2" has been successfully approved, and the screenwriter of "Painted Skin 2" Ran Jianan will serve as the screenwriter of this film.

According to the project announcement, the filing units for Calabash Brothers 2 are Shanghai Film (Group) Co., Ltd. and Anle Films Co., Ltd., and Ran Jianan will serve as the screenwriter for the film.

The snake demon wanted to ascend to heaven and become a dragon. He stole the elixir of Taishang Laojun and was banished to the human world, where he was pressed under the Gourd Mountain for nearly a thousand years. The pangolin accidentally released the snake demon, who took advantage of the situation to snatch the seven treasure gourds in the mountain, hoping to cultivate into an elixir. In the chaos, the snake demon took one gourd, and the remaining six were scattered all over the place and turned into seven babies.

Calabash Brothers (1986)
