According to the latest news provided by foreign media myanimelist, due to the clear request issued by Kyoto Animation, the "Violet Evergarden Gaiden" movie has now been confirmed to premiere as scheduled.

It is reported that according to the original plan, "Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll" will have its world premiere at animagiC in Germany in August, and the screening time will be from August 3 to 4. The film will be officially released in Japan on September 6, and the screening time will be as long as two weeks. In addition, an executive of the film distributor Shochiku Co., Ltd. said that the theatrical version had been completed before the fire on July 18.

Violet Evergarden is a light novel written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase, published by Kyoto Animation's KA ESUMA Bunko. It is also the winner of the 5th Kyoto Animation Award.
