Poster for the new horror film Midsommar, directed by Hereditary

Ari Aster's new horror film "Midsommar" has released its Italian poster. The film stars Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, Will Poulter and others. The story tells about a couple played by Pugh and Reynor who come to the Swedish countryside to attend a summer festival, but they don't expect the whole event to develop in a violent and weird direction.

"Midsommar" is the second feature film written and directed by Ari Aster. His feature debut "Hereditary" won both box office and word of mouth last year, which was eye-catching. Aster's new work "Midsommar" is still in cooperation with the independent production upstart A24, and the subject matter also continues the previous film's exploration of family and cults.

It is reported that the film will be released in North America on July 3.
