According to foreign media Deadline, the well-known streaming platform Netflix is undergoing a "major reorganization" and 15 employees in the film department have been laid off. This change came shortly after Dan Lin replaced Scott Stuber as the new head of Netflix's film department, and Scott Stuber left Netflix to form his own company. As part of the reorganization, Netflix's film division will be broken down by genre, with each major division now having a head. Ori Marmur is in charge of action, fantasy, horror and sci-fi; Kira Goldberg is in charge of thrillers, dramas and family films; Niija Kuykendall is in charge of religious films, teen movies and holiday movies; and Jason Young is in charge of comedies and romantic comedies. According to Deadline, these changes have been completed within the past month. |
