Star Wars actor Peter Mayhew dies at 74

If you are a fan of the Star Wars series, you must be familiar with the furry character "Chubakka". Unfortunately, another classic character has left us. According to his official Twitter, the actor Peter Mayhew, who has always played "Chubakka", passed away on April 30, 2019.

According to the official Twitter account, Peter Mayhew passed away on April 30 in California, Texas, USA, surrounded by his family. The funeral is expected to be held on June 29, and a memorial service is expected to be held during the Los Angeles Empire Con event in early December this year (2019).

Peter Mayhew has been playing "Chubacca" in "Star Wars" since 1977. Until 2015, due to his advanced age, he co-starred with Joonas Suotamo in "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens", and participated in the production of the eighth and ninth films as "Chubacca's exclusive consultant"

Now, his appearance at the "Star Wars Celebration 2019" which just ended this year has become his last appearance, which is really regrettable.
