According to people familiar with the matter, the premiere of "The Pursuit" originally scheduled for Tuesday local time at Loews Lincoln Square in New York has been canceled because it is "not appropriate under the current circumstances."

Liam Neeson revealed an incident many years ago in an interview with The Independent on Monday. After learning that his friend was sexually assaulted by a black man, he had the idea of ​​retaliating against random black people, but he told this story to express that he had realized that this idea of ​​violent revenge would not solve anything.

"I was walking around with a baton for days hoping someone would approach me -- I'm ashamed to say this -- for about a week, hoping some black bastard would come out of a bar and say something to me, you know? So I could ... kill him," he recounted in an interview Monday. "When I think back on it later, it was horrible that I did that ... but I learned from it, and I thought, 'What the f**k did you do?'"

After his remarks sparked controversy on social media, Liam Neeson explained again on ABC's "Good Morning America" ​​on Tuesday: "I'm not a racist," he said. "I've tried to stand up for my friends who have had terrible experiences, and that's popular... I'm a smart person, so when I really realized this terrible feeling, I was a little shocked." Neeson finally revealed that he had sought help from a pastor to regain his rationality.
