"Star-Lord" assures fans: "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" will definitely be there

At the premiere of "The Lego Movie 2" held in Los Angeles this Saturday, "Star Lord" Chris Pratt assured fans that there will definitely be "Guardians of the Galaxy 3"! When Variety asked if "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" would be cold without "Guardians of the Galaxy" James Gunn, Papa said, "I promise there will be a third part. I don't know what it will be like, but I know that everyone involved is very positive and wants to end this trilogy in a meaningful way."

After Gunn was fired by Disney for his past comments about pedophilia and rape, the existence of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 became a mystery. Gunn wrote a statement on Twitter to apologize, "No matter how much time has passed, I understand the decision made today to fire me. All these years later, I still take full responsibility for my actions back then. Now I have nothing but sincere regret and am working hard to be a human being. To everyone in the industry, I apologize again."

The cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy series wrote a letter to Disney, hoping that they could re-hire director Gunn, and actors including "The Destroyer" Dave Bautista stood up to support him, but Disney still insisted on firing Gunn. In August last year, the production of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was suspended, and Disney and Marvel told the crew of less than 20 people at the time that they could look for other actions first.

However, the latest news from foreign media is that Warner Bros. wants him to direct a Superman movie. I wonder if this is the Henry Cavill version of Man of Steel 2 that fans have been waiting for, or another Superman movie. But both Henry and Ben Affleck are temporarily leaving their respective DC superhero roles, so this project may be dead in the water.

Gunn is currently writing the script for Suicide Squad 2 and is expected to be the director of the film. Gunn is said to bring a "fresh perspective" to the film, which is expected to be very different from the previous film directed by David Ayer. There are rumors that Margot Robbie and Jared Leto will not play Harley Quinn and the Joker in Suicide Squad 2, respectively, but it is not certain now.

In addition, Warner also allowed Director Gunn to choose from several different film projects. He prefers DC's "Super Pets", but it is not yet known whether he will direct this film.
