Pictures. Warner Bros. Pictures reached the agreement with Japanese publisher Kodansha on Monday. The Attack on Titan manga, created by Japanese cartoonist Hajime Isayama, began serialization in 2009, and the single volume has sold 76 million copies so far. This popular manga has been adapted into a live-action movie, directed by Japanese director Shinji Higuchi, which was released in two parts in 2015 and grossed $46 million. Andy Muschietti's IT is currently the most successful horror movie in history, with a global cumulative revenue of $700 million. He is currently directing IT: Chapter Two, which will be released in 2019. There is no specific information about how Warner Bros.
