Previously, it was reported online that the film "The Return of the Condor Heroes Trilogy" directed by Tsui Hark and produced by Nansun Shi was recruiting actors for the roles of Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu, and listed relevant recruitment requirements. On October 15, the crew of "The Return of the Condor Heroes" issued a statement saying that the previous online news was only for casting requirements outside of Asia, and there was no open recruitment plan for domestic casting.

Recently, it was reported online that the film "The Return of the Condor Heroes Trilogy" directed by Tsui Hark and produced by Nansun Shi is recruiting actors for the roles of Yang Guo and Xiao Longnu. The requirements are that the actors must be Chinese actors aged 18-25 who speak fluent Mandarin. Those with martial arts, gymnastics, acrobatics, dance and other skills will be given extra points. The application deadline is October 24, 2018. In addition, according to the actor recruitment notice, the film will be shot from June 2019 to February 2020, and the actors will be trained from March to May 2019 before the shooting begins.

Statement from the crew

On October 15, the film crew of The Return of the Condor Heroes issued a public statement, saying that the rumors currently circulating online have caused confusion. In fact, the publicly disclosed recruitment information is just a notice from an overseas professional casting company. For candidates outside Asia, the application deadline will be October 24, 2018. There is no plan for public recruitment for the domestic casting of The Return of the Condor Heroes. It will be organized by the crew according to the preparation progress.

The reason for issuing a public statement is that the crew said they were afraid that the recruitment would be "taken advantage of" by those with ulterior motives. The crew reiterated: "The casting of this film is a professional job and will not require any money or benefits.
