This film is the first disaster film in South Korea involving a nuclear accident. Pandora is the latest disaster movie created by Park Jung-woo, the director of Invasion of the Iron Maiden (2012) over a four-year period. It also brings together the top Korean production team including the photography team of Veteran, the visual effects team of Train to Busan, and the soundtrack of The Attorney. The total investment is 12 billion won (about 72 million RMB).
