Joker 2 cinematographer says sequel will be surprising and "a pretty risky movie"

Lawrence Sher, the cinematographer of "Joker 2", said in an interview with Definition magazine that the sequel will surprise many people.

In the interview, he said: "We will release the new "Joker" movie next year. We are currently in the final stage of post-production. This is a very adventurous movie and it will surprise people. I am very happy that everyone can see it."

Not much has been announced about the sequel to Joker starring Todd Phillips, but it is confirmed that Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn and that it will be a musical. Composer Hildur Guðnadóttir has revealed that the film will include several songs. Is the musical the risk the photographer mentioned?

In addition to the two leading actors, Bredan Gleeson and Catherine Keenr have also joined the cast to play undisclosed roles, while Zazie Beetz will return to play neighbor Sophie.

"Joker 2" will be released in North America on October 4, 2024.
