The Spear of Longinus is a spear that pierced Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, when Jesus was crucified, a centurion pierced his side with a spear. The centurion was called Longinus. When Jesus' blood dripped into Longinus' eyes, Longinus was instantly moved. He gave up his original identity and became a monk, and had the ability to perform miracles. Later, he was posthumously recognized as a saint and called "Saint Longinus".

This Spear of Longinus stands in a park in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It is over 7 meters high and is made of high-precision cast iron. The overall details are completely restored to the original setting, becoming a new local tourist landmark.
