Netflix animation "The Monkey King" officially released on August 18

Netflix's animated film "The Monkey King", adapted from "Journey to the West", has released an official trailer and will be released on August 18 this year. The plot is described as "a monkey and his magical golden hoop team up on an epic adventure. They must fight gods, demons, dragons, and face the biggest enemy: the monkey's own self."

Stephen Chow serves as executive producer, with voice acting by Ouyang Wancheng, Yang Bowen, Xu Weilun, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, B.D. Huang, etc. Anthony Starch (The Boxtrolls, Into the Jungle) directs, and Oriental DreamWorks' Zhou Peiling (Abominable) and Kendra Haaland (Mulan, How to Train Your Dragon) serve as producers.
