The movie "Oppenheimer" is rated R and will be released in North America on July 21

Sina Film reported today (June 2) that Christopher Nolan's new film "Oppenheimer" was rated R because it "contains some sex, nudity and swear words." It is also Nolan's first R-rated film since "Insomnia" in 2002.

Cillian Murphy plays Robert Oppenheimer, the "father of the atomic bomb" in the United States. Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Ben Safdie, Josh Hartnett, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, David Krumholtz, Dylan Arnold, Michael Angarano, Kenneth Branagh, David Dastmalchian, Jason Clarke, James D'Arcy, David Riddle, Matthias Schweighofer, Gustave Skarsgård, Alex Wolff, Gary Oldman, Casey Affleck and others also starred. It will be released in North America on July 21.
