A live-action Dead by Daylight movie is in the works. The film will be produced by Atomic Monster (James Wan's company) and Blumhouse (Megan) in conjunction with game developer Behaviour Interactive, which will oversee the film adaptation of the multiplayer horror game. In addition, the company has begun searching for a director and writer for Dead by Daylight as Hollywood hopes that HBO's hit series The Last of Us will lead to a new era of game adaptations worth watching. “We’re thrilled to be working with two of the biggest names in horror cinema, Jason Blum and James Wan, to further expand the Dead by Daylight universe,” said Stephen Mulrooney, Executive Vice President of Interactive at Behaviour. “At Behaviour, our motto is to create unique moments, together, forever. Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are the perfect partners to bring Dead by Daylight to the big screen.” "Dead by Daylight" was released in 2016. This 1v4 asymmetrical horror game divides the team into killers and survivors. The goal of the survivors is to activate the generator and escape, while the killer needs to hunt them. Later, DLCs such as Freddy, Nailhead, Leatherface, and Ash Williams were launched. |
