Wednesday & Bonsai Brother co-star in the new feature film directed by "The Wave"

Actors Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), Barry Keoghan (The Joker in The Batman), and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye are now confirmed to co-star in a new feature film directed by Trey Edward Shults, the director of 2019’s Wave.

Shults will also co-write the script with Jennifer Lawrence and producing partner Reza Fahim, according to Deadline. Ortega will serve as executive producer on the film. The report also states that Shults and Jennifer Lawrence have been "working on the film in secret for several months." While details about the film's plot are still under wraps, Ortega and Keoghan were reportedly "blown away" after reading the script and agreed to sign on.

OPN, the composer of the soundtrack for the 2017 film Good Time, will work with Bonsai Brother to compose the music for the new film.

This isn't the first time that Bonzai has appeared in a movie. The singer played himself in the 2019 drama Uncut Gems. He also stars in HBO's new series Idol Whirlpool.
