Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has become Netflix's most popular series, with more than 1 billion hours watched in the 60 days since its premiere on September 21, according to Variety. Only two other shows in Netflix’s history have done that so far: Squidward earlier this year and Stranger Things Season 4. Variety reports that Monsters had 3.7 billion minutes of viewing in its first week, according to Nielsen. And the mystery comedy Wednesday recently became Netflix’s most-watched show in a single week, accumulating 341 million hours of viewing time in the week from November 21 to 27 alone. Although originally planned as a one-season series, Monster was renewed for two more seasons in November. However, the next two seasons will not be limited to Jeffrey Dahmer, but will follow "other terrible figures who have impacted society." |
