Will Smith's new film "Freeing the Slaves" trailer previews the story of the black escapee

The story of the film "Freeing the Slaves" is based on Peter's real experience: he escaped from the slave owner, endured the pursuit of cold-blooded hunters and the dangerous swamps of Louisiana, and headed north. When he escaped to the Northern Army for inspection, Peter showed the scars on his back from being whipped by the overseers in the plantation. This scene was photographed as the famous photo "The Whipped Back", which became one of the evidences of the cruelty of American slavery. After its release, it promoted the abolition movement and prompted many free blacks to join the federal army, and spread around the world.
