"The Lone Moon" box office exceeded 2.95 billion, the film company sued netizens: ordered to apologize

Recently, the official website of the movie "The Lone Moon" released a civil complaint, saying that it has formally filed a lawsuit against three rumor makers for malicious defamation of "The Lone Moon" stealing box office." The official website said that creation is not easy, and no organization or individual should infringe on the reputation of others by insulting or slandering others. A good film market environment requires everyone to work together to build it.

Litigation request:

1. Request that the defendant be ordered to stop infringing the plaintiff’s right to reputation and delete the video and text involved;

2. Request that the defendant be ordered to publicly apologize to the plaintiff through the Legal Daily for 30 consecutive days;

3. Request the court to order the defendant to compensate the plaintiff for economic losses of RMB 1 and to bear litigation expenses of RMB 20,000, totaling RMB 20,001.

The complaint shows that all three people used registered accounts on a short video platform to post content such as false box office figures and box office theft for "The Lone Moon".

Earlier, the production team of "Alone on the Moon" issued a statement in response to the box office theft. The production team said: "This makes all the staff involved in the creation, production and distribution of this film feel deeply saddened and angry. We cannot condone and tolerate such malicious and arbitrary slander. The film company issued a lawyer's letter to protect its rights, saying that "The crew of "Alone on the Moon" has commissioned a third-party law firm to collect evidence and take preservation measures, and will take legal measures at any time to resolutely safeguard the dignity and normal legal rights and interests that a film deserves."

"Lone Moon" has been released for 42 days in total, and the total box office has exceeded 2.95 billion yuan, rising to 15th place in China's film history box office list, and the number of moviegoers also ranked second in the 2022 moviegoer list.
