According to the creators of the hit series Stranger Things, the Duffer brothers, the show's final season won't feature any characters that viewers don't already know. In a new interview with IndieWire, they claimed the focus will be on the existing cast. "Any time we introduce a new character, we want to make sure they become an integral part of the story," said Ross Duffer, "but every time we do that, we get nervous because you say, 'We have so many great characters and actors here, and any time we're spending time with a new character, we're taking time away from one of the other actors.' So we're very, very careful about the characters we're going to bring in." Matt Duffer echoed this point. He said they would try to avoid mixing too many characters from the previous season. "I just like to keep it fresh, so we do that by changing up the plot or adding new monsters. We're trying our best not to add new characters in Season 5. I think we'll try not to do that so that we can focus on the original characters." Stranger Things is bidding an unforgettable farewell. With more than 1 billion hours watched, it is now the second most-watched series in Netflix history behind Squidward Floyd. |
