Rumor has it that Zhao Xina will star in the Mass Effect adaptation series

Amazon MGM has officially started producing a live-action TV series based on the Mass Effect game. It is rumored that Hollywood actor Zhao Xina (John Cena) is expected to play the male lead Commander Shepard.

Foreign netizens discovered that John Cena posted the following "Mass Effect 2" game poster on his personal Instagram, which seemed to hint that he will star in the game adaptation series.

However, before the official announcement, everything should be treated with caution. Some netizens pointed out that Senna's Instagram posts everything, including random emojis, pictures, etc.

The Mass Effect series will be created by Daniel Casey, the screenwriter of Fast & Furious 9. Casey will serve as the producer of the series together with Karim Zreik and Avi Arad from Cedar Tree Productions and Michael Gamble, the director of BioWare's Mass Effect game series.

At present, the specific plot details of the show have not been announced. The biggest question is whether the show will directly adapt the story of the Mass Effect trilogy or tell a completely new original story.
