Marvel develops "Miracle Man" series "Shang-Chi" director and producer

According to Variety, Marvel is developing a series called "Wonder Man" for Disney+, and Wonder Man will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shang-Chi director Destin Cretton will serve as the executive producer of the series, while Andrew Guest ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine") will serve as the chief screenwriter.

Miracle Man is a character in Marvel Comics who has not yet appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character's real name is Simon Williams, who inherited his father's financially strong company, but the company fell into trouble due to Tony Stark's company, Stark Industries.

Williams blamed Stark for his predicament and decided to infiltrate the Avengers with the help of villain Baron Zemo. He was transformed into an ion-powered superhero and, after a few fights with the Avengers, eventually joined them.

Simon's superpowers include the ability to fly at subsonic speeds of over 770 miles per hour, immortality, energy manipulation, body shape change, and he is also a combat expert.

Destin Cretton is the director and screenwriter of the 2021 Shang-Chi movie. In addition to Miracle Man, he is also producing Shang-Chi 2 and developing new MCU series for Disney+.

The current Disney+ MCU series airing is Ms. Marvel, and it’s off to a strong start with its first two episodes.
