Unreal 5 produced animated film "The Last Whale Singer" will be released in 2025

Today (June 9), animation company Telescope Animation released a concept trailer for the animated film "The Last Whale Singer" produced using Unreal Engine 5. Not only is the film entirely produced by Unreal Engine 5, but the materials used in the film will also be used to develop related products such as prequel games and cartoons.

The Last Whale Singer feature film tells the story of Vincent, a rebellious teenage humpback whale who must face his destiny and save the ocean from destruction by an ancient evil.

It is reported that using Unreal Engine 5 to shoot the film greatly reduced the time consumption of multiple projects of "The Last Whale Singer". Resources can be shared between games, movies, and animations to speed up the project process. Telescope Animation also developed a state-of-the-art water simulation technology specifically for the film.

The movie "The Last Whale Singer" is expected to be released in 2025, and the game "The Last Whale Singer: Resurrection of the Sea Monster", which serves as a prequel to the story, will be released in 2026 and will be available on all platforms.
