"Shin Ultraman" set a new record with nearly 1 billion yen box office in three days

The movie "Shin Ultraman" written by Hideaki Anno and directed by Shinji Higuchi has grossed 990 million yen in Japan since its release on May 13, with over 640,000 viewers! It has set a new record for the premiere of a live-action movie in Japan in 2022. The official movie released a group photo of the "Full-time Team of the Special Countermeasures Room for the Beasts" composed of the five leading actors of the movie, using the same pose to pay tribute to the classic group photo of the "Special Scientific Investigation Team" members in the original Ultraman!

"Shin Ultraman" is a modern "reboot" movie based on the 1966 special drama "Ultraman" directed by Eiji Tsuburaya to celebrate the 55th anniversary of "Ultraman" and the Ultraman series. The film is directed by Shinji Higuchi and written by Hideaki Anno. Starring Saito Takumi, Nagasawa Masami, Nishijima Hidetoshi, and starring Oka Daiki, Yamamoto Koji, Tanaka Tetsushi, Hayami Julie, Iwamatsu Ryo, Tian Satohiro, Masuoka Toru, Shimada Hisasaku, Nagatsuka Keishi, Yamazaki Hajime. In addition to the original Ultraman, the two monsters Nelonga and Gabra will also appear.
